Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

This policy explains what FollowOtter ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use our website, tools and services (the "Service"), how we use it and how we protect it.

Using FollowOtter means you agree to the practices below.

1. What we collect

Only what we need to run and improve the Service:

  • Device information: browser, operating system, IP address and session data.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, clicks and interactions.
  • Account data (if you sign up): email, billing information and subscription status.
  • Support conversations: the messages you send us when you need help.

We never collect or store Instagram passwords or access tokens. You do not log in to Instagram through FollowOtter, and we never ask you to.

2. How we use it

  • To provide and maintain the Service.
  • To improve performance and the experience of using it.
  • To send transactional and service messages.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data.

We share data only with the service providers who help us run FollowOtter, such as our payment processor and hosting provider, and only for that purpose. They are contractually required to protect it.

We may disclose data when the law requires it, in response to a subpoena, or in connection with a legal claim or investigation.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Keeping you signed in.
  • Analytics (for example Google Analytics).
  • Measuring and improving performance.

You can turn cookies off in your browser. Some parts of the Service may stop working properly if you do.

5. How long we keep it

As long as we need it to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by email.

6. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, theft or alteration. No system is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Object to processing, or ask us to restrict it.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis for processing.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected].

8. Outside the United States

Your data may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries. By using the Service you agree to that transfer.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date above.
